A Regional Cooperation Program of Bulgarian Psychological Society
The PsychoPraxis Institute for Southeastern Europe promotes PsychoPraxis theory and methods blending applied psychological science, experiential learning, action research and existential psychodynamics interventions in real life settings.
Our mission is to empower people to embrace their spontaneity, intuition and experiential learning capacity utilizing our unique psychological method in their real life settings for their best interest.
The PsychoPraxis Institute for Southeastern Europe is a professional non-profit network of psychologists, psychotherapists, organization and community development consultants from the countries in South-East Europe (Balkans and Black Sea basin countries).
The network is initiated and coordinated by Dr Plamen Dimitrov, President of the Bulgarian Psychological Society(BPS), as a follow-up of the First Regional Conference of Psychology in South-East Europe, Sofia, 2009 (co-sponsored by the BPS, IUPsyS, IAAP, APA, EFPA, and IACCP).
PsychoPraxis methodology is an unique blending of applied psychological science and professional psychosocial interventions in real life settings. Our mission is to empower people to embrace their spontaneity, intuition and experiential learning utilizing our unique psychological method (existential-psychodynamic praxis) in their real life settings. Instead of just talking about problems and solutions in isolated labs, offices and consulting rooms, we take a proactive and creative approach using experiential, action and change methods to enact the real life problems and to empower people to create their solutions in their real life settings – being their homes, workplaces or any other real community and social contexts of theirs. Bringing the PsychoPraxis process to life helps develop emotional and communication balance, insights, and new capacity to learn new ways of being authentic, related and free. You can do PsychoPraxis work as an observer and as an active participant – PsychoPraxis practitioner. PsychoPraxis is a fundamentally holistic and dialectic approach to human systems change dynamics incorporating individual, interpersonal, group, organizational, community and social applications.
Let’s practice together! The PsychoPraxis Institute for South-Eastern Europe invites psychologists, psychotherapists, organization and community development consultants who live and work in the region to join the network.
